Getting pulled over sucks, even when you're in a normal car. Just imagine how these teenagers felt when they were pulled over for driving their wooden car without a license! They also got a citation for not having a speedometer or side indicator lights, but if that's all that's keeping their DIY vehicle from being street legal, I'm already impressed.

The car is powered by a dirt bike engine and an Arduino controls the turn signals. The frame, of course, is steel, and it's even got shocks on both the front and rear.
According to their blog, they've been working on this project since 2009, and it wasn't always this advanced. A lot of the modifications were made after crashing their first model.
I have a feeling that if an accident didn't stop them, a silly little citation probably won't stand in the way of getting this thing on the road! Check out their blog for more info and tons of build photos.
